🏀 Men's Hoops Adds Defensive Force in Mouhamed Camara

Louisville men’s basketball officially added 6'8" forward Mouhamed Camara to its 2025-26 roster. A standout from the NBA Academy in Africa, Camara brings elite defensive instincts and big-game experience, having helped Senegal qualify for AfroBasket 2025.

“Mo is a big-time athlete,” said head coach Pat Kelsey. “He can guard every position and disrupt both on the ball and at the rim.”

Camara made waves in the NBA Academy Winter Tour with dominant performances in blocks and steals, including an 8-steal, 4-block game against the NBA Global Academy.

🌞 Cards Hit the NBA Summer League

Reyne Smith and Terrence Edwards Jr. are taking their games to the next level, representing the Cards in the NBA Summer League.

  • Smith, who drained 107 3-pointers last season, will suit up for the Denver Nuggets.

  • Edwards Jr., Louisville’s leading scorer, joins the Milwaukee Bucks after earning All-ACC and ACC Tournament First Team honors.

The NBA 2K26 Summer League kicks off July 10 in Las Vegas.

🏀 Women’s Hoops Staff Adds Brittany Morris

Louisville women’s basketball continues to build its powerhouse program with the addition of Brittany Morris as assistant coach.

Fresh off a four-year stint at NC State, where she helped the Wolfpack reach the 2023 Final Four, Morris brings elite recruiting and player development chops. Two of her former players were first-round picks in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

🏈 Isaac Brown, Eight Others Earn Preseason Honors

Running back Isaac Brown continues to stack accolades, named a Second Team All-American by Athlon Sports after a monster freshman season.

He rushed for 1,173 yards and 11 TDs, averaging 7.1 yards per carry and earning ACC Rookie of the Year.

Eight other Cards join him on Athlon’s preseason All-ACC squads, including:

  • Chris Bell & Caullin Lacy (WR)

  • Pete Nygra (OL)

  • Stanquan Clark (LB)

  • Duke Watson (RB)
